Can I give directly to TMS Global's general fund?

Yes. The Global Mission Fund provides services which undergird our missionaries’ personal and ministry needs. Only about 25 percent of TMS Global's annual budget is covered by the contributions given to our missionaries. Therefore, we depend on the Lord to provide from other sources the remainder of our operating expenses. To designate your donation for this purpose, indicate “Global Mission Fund” when you give your gift, or click here to give to the Global Mission Fund right now.

I don't see a missionary listed on your site. How do I know my gift will go to the missionary I intend it to go to?

Due to the increasing number of our missionaries that serve in areas where security is an issue, we have made the decision not to list our missionaries by name on the site.

When you give to a missionary, project, or partner, you are given the opportunity to type in the associated four digit account number or a name. You will also have the opportunity to send a note of instruction along with your gift by clicking the "edit" link next to your gift on your checkout page.

When the finance team reviews and processes online gifts, they will contact you if there is any ambiguity about your intent.

How much of my gift to a missionary actually goes to the missionary?

TMS Global provides a vast array of services to our missionaries, including—but not limited to—training, field placement, field visits, pastoral care, contacts with churches, and robust administrative support. Fifteen percent of your missionary support gift helps enable the missionary to receive these important support services. The remaining 85 percent goes directly towards funding the ongoing costs of the ministry of the missionary you are supporting.

Are my gifts tax-deductible?

Donations for missionaries, projects and partners, and the Global Mission Fund are tax-deductible. According to IRS guidelines, such gifts remain under the jurisdiction and control of TMS Global.

How do I make a gift "in memory of" or "in honor of" someone?

Simply indicate this intent when you give your gift. At your request, a letter may be sent from TMS Global to the person or family you are recognizing with your gift but we will not disclose the amount of the gift.

To facilitate this, please provide the appropriate name, address and specifications (e.g. Do you wish to be named? May we share how much was given to the missionary or project?).

If you are making the gift online, you may either click the "edit" link on your checkout page to provide the information mentioned above with your contribution or you may navigate to Other Ways to Give and enter in the information in the Honorarium/Memorial Gift text box.

How can I update my contact information?

To update your address, you may fill out a change of address form located here.

How can I change my credit card number, expiration date, or any other aspects of my recurring donations?

If you have an online account with us, you may log in and update your payment information and recurring gifts. Otherwise, please call the Finance Team at 678.542.9031 to make any changes to your credit card giving.

Can I receive my receipts electronically?

If your primary means of giving is via our website, your receipts will come to you via email. For checks and other offline giving, we currently only offer paper receipts. Should you wish to only receive a year-end summary statement via mail, please contact us or call the Finance Team at 678.542.9031. We mail year-end giving statements to our donors at the end of January.

Are there fees related to credit card transactions?

It is indeed more expensive for TMS Global to process credit and debit card payments than to receive checks. We do not pass that charge on to the missionary or project account. The roughly three percent fee is absorbed as overhead by TMS Global’s general fund.

How do I give by check?

Make your check payable to TMS Global and use the memo line of the check to state the name of the missionary or project/partner you wish to support and the corresponding account number if you know it. You can mail the contribution to: TMS Global, PO Box 922637, Norcross, GA 30010-2637.

How do I direct my gift to a missionary's special project fund?

Many of our missionaries have short-term appeals for special projects, education of their children while on the field, or for a ministry vehicle.  If you wish to direct your gift specifically for one of these appeals, simply indicate this in a note to the finance department on your checkout page. You can add a note to a gift in the checkout page by clicking "add instructions to the finance office" below the gift on your checkout page or by clicking the "edit" button underneath the gift.
