NORCROSS, Ga. – To further the organization's mission of mobilizing and deploying the body of Christ globally to join Jesus in His mission, especially among least reached peoples, The Mission Society has made three key personnel changes and created one new ministry division, Dick McClain, president and chief executive officer, announced today.

“As these talented, skilled people assume new positions, The Mission Society will even better positioned to spread the gospel cross-culturally,” McClain said. “We look forward to helping more workers mobilize for mission and to provide even greater care and networking capabilities to our missionaries.”

Jim Ramsay, formerly the senior director of field ministry, will be The Mission Society’s new vice president for mission ministries. Ramsay and his family served in Central Asia for 10 years before joining The Mission Society headquarter’s staff in 2006.

Frank Decker, former vice president of mission operations, will be the new vice president for member care and development. This newly created division will expand The Mission Society's capacity to serve its missionaries and mission community. Frank and his family served as missionaries with The Mission Society for eight years in Ghana before joining its stateside staff in 1994.

Steve Wilson, formerly the assistant director of field ministry and international mobilization, will direct “missional communities,” a new department within the mission ministries division. A missionary with his family in Mexico for four years through The Mission Society, Wilson joined the staff in 2008. Among other duties, he will be responsible for developing “affinity communities” that will enable the missionaries to more easily network with one another, to provide encouragement, ministry help, and counsel.
