The Mission Society’s Global Resource Team (GRT) is celebrated its 10th anniversary with an event at Sand Mountain United Methodist Church in Trenton, Georgia on February 27, 2010. Mission Society staff members Dick McClain, president, and Denny Brown, vice president for mission advancement, attended the anniversary celebration.

The Global Resource Team is a group of missionaries who are based in the United States and are available to travel to various fields to assist in their area of expertise. With specialization in areas such as agriculture, medical work, well-drilling, evangelism, discipleship, and micro-loans, these missionaries offer a broad range of assistance to Mission Society fields.

Larry Williams has served as the director of the GRT since 2005. Williams also founded and served as the director of Agrimissions since 1998. Agrimissions is an organization which focuses on agricultural development in countries around the world.

Doug Neel, a GRT member, was commissioned to serve as the director of Agrimissions at the anniversary event. Doug earned a degree in General Agriculture from Southwest Texas State University. He went on to earn a Master’s in Range Management from Sul Ross State University and did some graduate coursework in World Mission and Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary. He has worked in a variety of positions that seek to integrate his passion for mission and agriculture. Doug and his wife, Becky, joined the Agrimissions ministry in 2007. Becky serves as the administrative assistant for Agrimissions. The Neels are based in Crockett, Texas and facilitate the ministry from there. You can follow Doug’s ministry around the globe on Twitter at http://twitter.com/agrimissions.
