Former Mission Society missionary Gerald Freeman passed away on September 9, 2008. Gerald and his family served as missionaries to Costa Rica from 1995-2001. He continued to remain connected with the ministries in Costa Rica and took a short-term trip there in June. Gerald also served as a pastor in the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. He was survived by his wife, Karen, and their children; Scott, Cris, Tracie, and Joy.
