GreenLight programs give young adults the go-ahead to embrace culture, experience ministry, and explore calling. These unique, mentor-led experiences are not your typical short-term mission trip.

GreenLight Opportunities

GreenLight: Focus [Selma]

Be a part of a team exploring calling, embracing local culture and experiencing ministry in Selma, Alabama. You will spend three weeks alongside local TMS workers who share their lives with students and adults to mentor, care and encourage them in what God has in store for their lives. You will build relationships through worship, prayer, discipleship and daily activities. This trip also incorporates time for learning, reflecting, journaling, sharing and enjoying places of interest in the region. We look forward to journeying with you during this unique mission opportunity.

GreenLight: Gateway [Paraguay]

Join a team in Paraguay for six weeks where you will be guided by long-term cross-cultural workers. You will have opportunities to share your life and live out what being a Christ follower truly means with young people in Paraguay. Experience how ordinary acts can communicate a life of love and hope.

GreenLight teams will gather in Norcross, Georgia for five days of training before departure. Daily devotions as a group, nightly debriefing, and time to journal each day is part of the schedule. This experience has been designed for you to not only participate in and observe ministries in Latin America but to also pay close attention to the ways Jesus is working in your own life.

GreenLight: Medical [Ghana]

GreenLight: Medical is a mentor-guided experience in healthcare mission for medical students that focuses on global health, spiritual formation, and cross-cultural ministry. Led by veteran missionary physicians who, combined, have served in Ghana, Kenya, Kentucky, South Sudan, and Uganda for many years, students will serve with national and expatriate Christian health professionals in rural communities. The team will observe, learn, and participate in clinical care, community health, and discipleship hosted by the Methodist Hospital Ankaase in rural Ghana. This experience is designed for you to recognize the ways Jesus is working in your life and in the world.

Academic credit may be available from some schools.
