Volunteer Part-Time Receptionist

The volunteer position of a part-time receptionist is available at TMS Global. The main duty of this role includes answering phone calls, but additional responsibilities are available upon request. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Below is a brief description of the job duties and expectations.

Reporting relationship: This position reports to the Office Manager.

TMS Global’s mission statement:

Position summary:
The receptionist is a key position as it serves visitors by answering phones, greeting guests, and performing light administrative tasks.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  1. To live a lifestyle that is above reproach and worthy of the calling of Jesus Christ. To live in accordance with the faith statement and core values of TMS Global.
  2. To be committed to an example of life-long learning and continuous intentional growth in the study and life application of God’s word.
  3. To answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  4. Welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries and directing them appropriately.
  5. Keeps the reception area clean and organized.
  6. Performs administrative tasks as requested.
  7. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical requirements:
Work should require light to moderate physical activity with a reasonable amount of repetitive motion. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
