Receptionist, Part-time

TMS Global is a non-denominational missionary-sending agency dedicated to mobilizing the body of Christ globally to join Jesus in his mission of making disciples, especially among the least-reached peoples. Our staff enjoy a team environment and purposeful work that makes a difference around the world.

We are looking for an experienced receptionist to greet visitors, answer phones, manage the reception area and perform light administrative tasks. This is a key position in our organization which requires dependability, resourcefulness, and a pleasant demeanor. The ideal candidate will be able to work five days a week, 20 hours/week.

Position summary:
The receptionist is a key position as it serves visitors by answering phones, greeting guests, and performing light administrative tasks.

Location: Norcross, Georgia

Reports to: Office Manager

Job type: Part-time; works five days a week, 20 hours/week. 

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • To live a lifestyle that is above reproach and worthy of the calling of Jesus Christ. To live in accordance with the faith statement and core values of TMS Global.
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
  • Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized.
  • Maintains office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipates supplies needed, places orders for supplies, verifies receipt of supplies, and monitors office equipment.
  • Anticipates supplies needed and places orders for supplies.
  • Performs administrative tasks as requested.

Personal requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED, and equivalent experience working in an office environment.
  • Two-years of experience working in an office, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
  • Communicates with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative, and mature manner.
  • Must be highly professional in appearance, tone, and delivery, and an effective communicator.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the operation of a computer keyboard (30 WPM minimum), and the ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office Products.

Physical requirements:

  • Work should require light to moderate physical activity with a reasonable amount of repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and calculators.
